LAUNCH OF THRTA’s NEW WEBSITE
& PRESENTATION OF SCHOLARSHIPS
The launch of the
THRTA’s new website and presentation of scholarships took place on
Tuesday February 18th 2003 at The Cascadia Hotel and
Conference Centre. The Minister of Culture and Tourism delivered the feature
address and officially launched the website.
Five scholarships
were awarded by the THRTA and two by the TTHTI.
Recipents were: Bronia Lyder;
Rosamund Pereira-Jacob; Leasanne Quan Kep; Priya Ramsumair; Sandy
Sawh; Veronica Williams; Mauricia Windsor.
We wish to thank the members of
THRTA who took
the time to attend and lend support. Also in attendance was John Bell, former Director General and
CEO of the Caribbean Hotel Association with his wife Biddy.

RELOCATION
OF TIDCO’s
INFORMATION OFFICE AT PIARCO
TIDCO has
advised that its Information Office at Piarco International Airport
has been relocated from within the duty-free area to a more
accessible area outside of Customs clearance.
The office will be
opened on Friday February 21, 2003.
TIDCO SAFETY CARDS
As part of its crime and safety campaign, TIDCO has distributed
Safety Cards to member hotels and guesthouses.
These cards provide safety tips and emergency numbers to
visitors and citizens. We
thank TIDCO for this initiative as part of its Visitor Protection
Programme |
