Trinidad Hotels, Restaurant and Tourism
Association
The Trinidad Restaurants, Hotels and
Tourism Association (THRTA) was formed to
be the main private sector representational body for the industry performing
a pivotal role between the policy makers
(government), policy implementers TIDCO
and the private sector. The association is governed by a Board comprising a President and ten
Directors. The Board is charged with the responsibility of guiding the Association's strategies and policies.

Mission
Statement
To provide members with services and benefits in the
areas of product marketing, education, training and information
dissemination. To serve the interest of our members by influencing
governmental policies, and addressing environmental issues as they
relate to our industry. |
Where is Trinidad & Tobago?
Trinidad and Tobago, the southernmost of the Caribbean
islands, is situated only 10km (7mi) off the coast of Venezuela and
geologically an extension of South America. Trinidad is situated north
of and opposite the mouth of the Orinoco River and is separated from
the South American coast by the Gulf of Paria. Tobago is 33 km (21 mi)
northeast of Trinidad. Area of Trinidad, 4828 sq km (1864 sq. mi);
area of Tobago, 300 sq. km (116 sq. mi); total area of the country,
5130 sq. km (1981 sq. mi). Come and visit Trinidad & Tobago, the

Where is THRTA?
The Trinidad Restaurants, Hotels and
Tourism Association is located in Chaguaramas, on the north-western peninsula of
Trinidad. Our office is on the premises of the Trinidad & Tobago
Hospitality and Tourism Institute.
