The THRTA will be hosting our Second Annual Tourism Gala Awards Dinner and Dance, on September 26th, 2015 at the Trinidad Hilton and Conference Centre, to recognise and honour those who have been Outstanding Performers in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry and whose hard work and dedication make Trinidad and Tobago a destination of choice for travelers.
Last year’s inaugural event was a resounding success and as we seek to build on the momentum and support gained we wish to invite all stakeholders and culinary enthusiasts to participate in this prestigious and important event.
The event is being billed as a black tie event and will attract influential persons within the hospitality industry as well as its direct and indirect service partners. The dinner itself will feature a menu inspired by a collection of the best chefs in Trinidad:
- Chef Joe Brown, Jaffa at the Oval
- Chef Debra Sardinha-Metivier, DSM Cuisine
- Chef Khalid Mohammed, Chaud Restaurant
- Chef Raymond Joseph, Head Chef Courtyard by Marriott & Former National Culinary team captain
- Chef Umesh Meena, Hilton Trinidad

Awarded to the company who has demonstrated support to the tourism industry (e.g. computer supplier, wholesaler or distributor, PR or other services etc.

Hall of Fame Award 2015
A nominee is defined as an individual, alive or deceased, generally retired or in the twilight of their tourism careers, an icon or a group of two or more people who have cooperatively enhanced the Trinidad and/or Tobago hospitality and tourism sector. The individuals honored as inductees have made a substantial and sustained contribution to leadership and service in the Trinidad and/or Tobago hospitality and tourism industry.
